Family Fun

Yesterday was a PD day for our schools so we had the entire day home with the kids. It turned out to be a really fun day. Halle and Brady had friends over to play in the morning and got to decorate cupcakes. It was fun to see them putting so much stuff on their cupcakes. I had found these fun star shaped cupcake tins which our kids thought were about the greatest things ever. They had fun with their friends. Halle had piano and enjoyed going to that. We wanted to spend some time as a family and decided to go to Lethbridge. We took the kids bowling. It was a blast. I don't have any pictures because I forgot my camera at home. They were sio cute. Brady can barely get the ball down the lane. At one point his ball started to roll back towards us down the lane. I have to tell you that once again I beat Kyle. It isw just about the only sport that I have ever been able to beat hims at. I feel quite proud of myself. We took the kids out for supper with their Papa ( kyle's dad) They love going out to eat and surprised me by eating everything in sight. Maybe I won't feed them any snacks any afternoons if they are going to eat that well for supper every night. Our day ended with a trip to Toys R Us to find Halle a new bike and to get a helmet for Adam so I can pull him in our bike trailer. It was a great day. We had so much fun together. I would like to have that much fun with our kids everyday. Talk to you soon.

I am so excited in 12 days there is a new Stephenie Meyer book being put out. It is called The Host. I am excited to read it. I enjoyed her other books so much. I just am so excited to read this one. If you are interested there is a new website that is all about this book.

Memory Monday

WHAT IS A SOMETHING THAT YOU WOULD REALLY LIKE TO TRY, THAT YOU HAVE NEVER TRIED BEFORE? (A new hobby, a new food, etc.)

This is a tough one for me. I'm not really sure. I've been thinking about this for the last few hours and i'm really drawing a blank. I would loke to learn to sew. I would really like to learn to crochet but so far I am just not talented enough to get it. I would really like to run a 10 km race and not die. I hope that is good enough.

This weekend for us was pretty quiet. Halle and Kyle went to Beauty and the Beast in Calgary. Halle loved it.She has not stopped talking about it. Kyle really enjoyed it too. I would love to have gone but it was pretty specail for Halle to have a fun date with her Dad. They spent the night in Calgary and had a long drive home brcause of the crazy snow we got. I can't believe this weather. Just when I thought it was really spring and we get all of this snow. Serves me right for living in southern Alberta. You just never know what you are going to get.

Saturday night we went to a dinner party at a home of some friends of ours. She is officially my new hero. I have never met anyone like Sara before. She can do it all. The meal she served was FANTASTIC. It was great sitting down and spending time with friends. I love the amazing friends that we have here. I don't think I express my thanks and gratitude for our wonderful friends that we have here on Taber. We are very blessed. that's about it for our weekend. It was pretty quiet but nice just to be home. Talk to you soon.

I just have to share this comic strip with you. I don't know if I 've ever blogged about this comic strip but it is my favorite. Our newspaper doesn't carry it so I check it online everyday. My Crush

Ok so I know that I am turning twenty ten in less than 2 months and that I am old enought to have babysat this boy when he was born but I have got to admit that I have a crush on David Archuleta. Tonight he was great on American Idol so I thought that I would share for any of you that didn't get to see it.

A Quick Update

Wow! The last week has been long. We have all been SICK, SICK, SICK. It just will not go away. I don't have much to share except for the fact that we watched tons of movies ate basically no food and slept a lot. I only have one picture to share. Brady was feeling awful on Wednesday. He got up and by 9am he was back in bed asleep. Around 11am he got up and wanted something to eat but couldn't find the strength to eat it at the table. By the time I turned around he was asleep on the kitchen floor. He slept there for around 3 hrs until I moved him back to bed. What a good mom I am. HA HA HA. Hopefully this week will be much healthier and happier around our house.

Science Centre Fun

This last weekend we went up to visit my sister Christy in Edmonton. We had a blast. It was so much fun to see her and meet her boyfriend Drew. We went up on Friday and stayed until Sunday. We went to the Space and Science Centre on Saturday morning. It was so much fun. If you are ever in Edmonton I would highly recommend it. We spent a good 3 hours there and probably could have spent the entire day there. The kids loved doing all the experiments and fun things. We didn't go to the IMAX but it was well worth it. Here are more pictures than any of you will want to see but enjoy.


Brady enjoyed the CSI room. It was put on by the police service of Edmonton. You got to go and see a crime scene and then you got to see how they figure out all the clues. It was so cool. Brady loved sitting on the police motorcycle.

There was also a whole display on space and the planets and astronauts. Halle is on a huge space kick. She can't learn enough about the planets abd stars and all that stuff. Here she is in the astronaut suit.

They also had a huge kids gallery full of hands on experiments. In it they had a life size piano that the kids enjoyed. It really reminded me of the movie BIG. Halle and Kyle had fun trying it out. It would change the sound each time you pushed a button so you never knew what kind of sounds it would make.

This is a picture of the science Centre. It is really a fun building to look at. It was snowing on Saturday so it looks like the middle of winter. Who would have guessed that it was April?

Kyle really got into the action. He really ehlped the kids a lot. They really enjoyed checking things out under the microscope in the backyard enivronmental room.

In the environmental display Halle tried to generated electricity on a pedal bike but just didn't have long enough legs.

Christy in one of the displays. It really is such a fun and interesting place. I would go back in a heartbeat. I even think that it would be really fun to go without our kids. It had so much information. The kids had so much fun. They didn't even realize how much they were learning. I'll post more later. Talk to you soon.
